Presenter:

Denver Department of Environmental Health

Description:

The American Public Health Association and Colorado’s public health community are working hard to address climate change, both here in Colorado and globally. Climate change can harm the water supply, increase vector-borne disease and increase extreme weather events and we know that communities of color, the elderly, young children, the poor and those with chronic illnesses bear the greatest burden of injury, disease and death related to climate change.

This month, the Colorado Public Health Webinar Series focuses on this critical issue. We will be joined by experts from the Denver Department of Environmental Health to teach participants to take action for environmental health and health equity.
