Presenter:
Holly Forlenza
Description:
Our presenter, Holly, is unable to speak. Diagnosed at age 2 with "severe mental retardation", she broke the veil of silence by communicating with a keyboard and iPad at the age of 22, laboriously pecking one letter at a time. Holly is a song writer, artist, motivational speaker, and author of "Just Because I Can't Talk Doesn't Mean I Don't Have Anything to Say." She will share her perspectives around community engagement, providing principles that can be applied in many settings.
